The road to health is a personal journey, much like a safari. It can be exciting yet uncertain, with unexpected twists and turns. As your doctor, I will serve as your guide on this journey. In private practice since 1989, I have guided many patients through their unique paths to wellness, ensuring they feel safe and supported.
I believe in an integrative approach to understanding my patients. This involves knowing your entire life story from beginning to present, along with a thorough understanding of your medical status. Your recent physical from your primary care doctor and lab results from your first visit are crucial. Your medical status, life history, and present troubles are interconnected, and understanding these aspects is essential for providing effective care.
As a Psychiatrist and Psychoanalyst, my extensive training includes four years of medical school, a year of Fifth Pathway (similar to a rotating internship), a year of Internal Medicine Internship, three years of Adult Psychiatry Residency, two years of Specialty Fellowship Training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and five years of Psychoanalytic Training for Adults and Children. This comprehensive background equips Dr. Hill MD to understand how your medical status, genetic background, and family upbringing impact your mental and physical health and relationships.
When you schedule an appointment with me, your time is reserved solely for you. I do not double or triple-book appointments. Typically, I see patients at least once a week, depending on the therapy needed. You may cancel at any time, and while I will try to offer your slot to someone else if I can't fill it, you are responsible for the payment. Cancellations made with more advance notice are easier to fill.
My practice operates on a fee-for-service basis, with payment due at the time of service. I am not affiliated with any insurance companies, which allows me to provide care without restrictions imposed by insurance policies. To ensure continuous and complete treatment, it is important to budget for your care. Contact your insurance company to understand your coverage and reimbursement. Payment options include Check, VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover, HSA Card, or Debit Card.
